See a list of local businesses and community leaders who were honored at the annual ceremony.
The Santee Chamber of Commerce handed out about 30 community and business awards at their annual dinner and ceremony Thursday evening. More than 200 movers and shakers in the Santee community were in attendence, including Mayor Randy Voepel, Councilmember Jack Dale, Assemblyman Brian Jones, County Supervisor Dianne Jacob, Santee Sheriff Captain Lisa Miller and Fire Chief Robert Leigh.
The Person of the Year award, which took nominations from the public, was given to Bob Grande, and the "Santee's Favorites" business awards, which were decided by an online poll, were handed out. Santee Patch received an award for "Santee's Favorite General Service."
