Where in Santee?
A contest to see how well you know Santee's visuals.
pjerome - It's the North side Mission gorge road--the old Post office would be west of this old water well--the cottonwood fire station in the rear or the north side of the open field. For years the El Cap H.S. Ag dept planted Oats in this open field.
So, you think you know Santee? Tell us where in town this photo was taken. Be as specific as possible.
I'm still not sure what this concrete and metal block is (working on figuring that out), but you probably pass by it more than you realize.
To win this guessing contest you should let us know what street this is on, any other identifying factors and if you know what it is/was or what once stood in that spot, we really want to know!
__
Every other week we'll have a new photo up for readers to try and locate. There used to be a free coffee in it for the winner, but now it's just for bragging rights!
If you like to take a stab at these types of guessing games, check out our Guess the Restaurant feature.
Have a spot or some food you think no one will guess? E-mail your idea or photo to Steven.Bartholow@patch.com
