Local Santee Company [Smencils] needs your votes for a great cause!

Dear fellow Santee friends,

Some of you probably have heard of Smencils (especially if you have kids!), which are eco-friendly, gourmet scented pencils. What you may not know is that they are based right here in Santee! Well the same company has created a new product called  Smanimals (scented stuffed animals), which were entered into Walmart’s ‘Get On The Shelf’ contest.  (Get On The Shelf is an American Idol style contest Walmart is running to find new and promising products for their stores).

Luckily, Smanimals were accepted to compete in the contest!

Now comes the important part...getting the most votes!  Take a look at the hilarious entry video at https://getontheshelf.walmart.com/product/1846/Smanimals and vote once a day from now until September 2 (you need to have a Facebook account to vote….it’s easy to set one up if you don’t already have one).  Every vote counts and they could really use your support. Not only are Smanimals a fun product with names like Mint Chocolate Chipmunk, Pink Llamanade, Kangarootbeer, plus 5 more, but they also help in a big way…..for every Smanimal purchased, 5 cents gets donated to an animal habitat conservation charity.  If Smanimals win the contest because of your voting support, the amount of money that will be donated to help the habitats of endangered species will be very significant.
