• A status conference is scheduled Thursday morning for who is suspected of fatally shooting her husband and 14-year-old daughter (a West Hills High student) in their San Carlos home, then staying with the bodies for three days before calling a relative in another state and mentioning the deaths.

Breaking Transit Records

A record has been set for the number of bus passenger trips on the Metropolitan Transit System in San Diego. MTS officials say that over the fiscal year that ended June 30, 55.5 million bus trips were taken. That's 800-thousand more than the previous record, set in 2009. On the , 32.7 million passenger trips were taken, an increase of 3.4 percent over last year, the MTS reported. The combined 88.2 million trips was the third highest on record.
