Fire training

County authorities, the Escondido Fire Department and Heartland firefighters will take part in a mass casualty training exercise in the parking lot of Qualcomm Stadium. Vehicles will be set up to practice treating large amounts of injured people and decontaminate them.

Sheriff's officials will host a pair of two-hour community forums to give parents and homeowners up-to-date information on the potential consequences of allowing minors access to alcoholic beverages. Under a county ``social host'' law, property owners face a fine of up to $1,000 on the first offense, may be held liable for injuries resulting from underage drinking and may have to reimburse the cost of law enforcement response.
