Daily Dose: San Diego County Gas Prices Continue to Drop

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline dropped to $3.724, which is the lowest price since Feb. 26.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County decreased today for the 13th consecutive day. The price dropped six-tenths of a cent to $3.724, which is the lowest price since Feb. 26. The average price is 5.7 cents less than one week ago and 7.6 cents less than a month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. Still, the average price is 57.2 cents higher than a year ago. Analysts credit the declining price to the lower price of crude oil. However, the streak of price decreases could be threatened by recent increases to the price of crude oil.
