Grossmont Center Robbery

La Mesa police are on the lookout this morning for a large man who robbed a 23-year-old man while he was purchasing a movie ticket at Grossmont Center. It happened last night. Police say the thief got away with 20 dollars. He is described as black, bald, in his late 20s to early 30s, around 6 feet 2 and 250 pounds.

Missing Woman

San Diego police sought the public's help today in finding a 57-year-old woman who has been missing for a week.

Beverly Simmons was last seen in the area of 2400 Fairmount Ave. last Wednesday, according to a San Diego police bulletin.

Police described Simmons as black, 5 feet tall and 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She drives a blue 2009 Subaru Forester, California license plate No. 6EVT885, police said.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts was asked to call police at (619) 531-2000 or (619) 531-2277.
