East County Dog Rescue Lathers Up to Break World Record

Rub-a-dub-dub there will be more than 100 puppies in a tub. 

The Barking Lot, an East County rescue group will try to shatter its own world record of Most Dogs Bathed in One Hour. 

Last August the rescue group lathered up 118 dogs in an hour and was recognized by the world record archiving website, Record Setter.

This year, five teams of volunteers will aim to break the world record while raising money for a great cause. 

Dog Wash-A-Thon will start at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11 at The Barking Lot, 486 Raleigh Avenue, El Cajon. 

Proceeds will benefit The Barking Lot, a non-profit organization who has found homes for 1,200 dogs.
