March is National Nutrition Month and the California Health Network (CHN), based in Santee, is working with east county restaurants to promote healthy options on their menu for the month.
"This month we're trying to promote foods with a focus on fruit, vegetables, whole grain and white meat," said Steve Lauria, founder of CHN.
"Most east county restaurants have some healthy options on the menu, we're just trying to make those options more obvious to the public."
During the month of March the following restaurants in Santee, El Cajon and Lakeside have committed to providing more healthy and nutritious options (check back as we add more promos through the month):
