January is the first official Santee Health Awareness Month, featuring promotions from a variety of local health providers that should make it easier for residents to improve their health. For his part in the health awareness month, Steve is offering a free health screening. He will identify the needs of the person and make the appropriate referral to the health professional best suited to address these needs.
Steve Lauria founded the Santee Health Network in July of 2012. He saw a need for health awareness in Santee, as the latest statistics from CDC showed that a significant percentage of the population of Santee was not in the best of overall health.
Steve's backround is in personal training. He has been ACE certified for 15 years and has served on advisory committees for both Mesa and Grossmont College fitness programs. He has also developed CEC courses for ACE. He trains part time at his studio in Santee, and his clients have included several city councilmen and several Miss Santees. He specializes in special populations such as handicapped and over 55.
