LAMPLIGHTERS PRESENTS DAUGHTERS OF THE APPALACHIANS

  • What's Up: Lamplighters will perform a staged reading, The Appalachian Daughters, at their new theater.
  • When: 8 p.m. on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27.
  • Where:5915 Severin Dr, La Mesa. 
  • Price: $10. 

SPRING GARDEN FESTIVAL

  • What's Up: The Spring Garden Festival will host demonstrations, presentations, a petting zoo, face painting and more. The annual festival will celebrate its 20th anniversary. 
  • When: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 27.
  • Where: The Water Conservation Garden12122 Cuyamaca College Dr W, El Cajon.
  • Price: Free.

EAST COUNTY FAMILY YMCA’S HEALTHY KIDS DAY

  • What's Up: YMCA will host a Healthy Kids Day in Santee, La Mesa and Spring Valley. The event will focus on exercising the minds and bodies of kids and families in East County. Activities include family fun run/walk, games, prizes, trial health and wellness classes, craft activities, bounce house, youth fitness marathon challenge and more.
  • When: 9 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, April 27. 
  • Where: Cameron Family YMCA, 10123 Riverwalk Dr, Santee; McGrath Family YMCA, 12006 Campo Rd, Spring Valley; John A. Davis YMCA,8881 Dallas St, La Mesa.

SANTREE FEST

  • What's up: In the spirit of Earth Day, bring your work gloves and shovels and volunteer to improve your community park. Santree Fest wil host a day filled of park beautification, live entertainment, food samples from healthy vendors, danceing and more. 
  • When: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 27. 
  • Where:  Town Center Community Park, Riverwalk Dr & Cuyamaca St, Santee.

SANTEE THINKS YOU CAN DANCE

  • What's Up: Show off our dancing skills for National Dance Week. Join a flash mob, watch dance performance and participate in Project Warm Feet. Santee Thinks You Can Dance will showcase a variety of activities for dancers of all ages. 
  • When: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 27. 
  • Where: Town Center Community Park, Riverwalk Dr & Cuyamaca St, Santee.
  • Price: Free.
