Get Out: A Musical Summer

Your Patch guide to weekend happiness.

Sure, you've been living life like it's summer since Memorial Day, but Tuesday it becomes official. It's the longest day of the year – sunset isn't until 8 p.m. – so what are you going to do all weekend to celebrate?

In Santee, San Diego and beyond from June 16 to June 22, we can guide you to what's happening, including several chances to be entertained outdoors, a famous comedian performing at Sycuan and Santee Day at a certain big county to-do.

And don't get so caught up in the glorious, seemingly never-ending daylight that you forget dear ol' dad. Look for restaurants, stores and museums to offer free or reduced admission and other special events to celebrate Father's Day.
