SANTEE PATCH NATURE WALK AT MISSION TRAILS PARK

  • What's Up: Attention Patch readers: Santee Patch Editor Steven Bartholow will take you through an outdoor adventure. He will host a 90-minute nature walk through Mission Trails Regional Park. Space is limited to 25 participants.
  • When: 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 13.
  • Where: Kumeyaay Lake Campground Entry station, Mission Trails Regional Park, 1 Father Junipero Serra Tr, San Diego.
  • Price: Free.

'IT'S HOW WE LIVE' HEALTH FAIR

  • What's Up: The health fair is a family friendly event and will feature games, rock climbing, arts and crafts, obstacles, health booths, healthy food samples and free medical and dental testing. 
  • When: 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 13. 
  • Where: Spring Valley Community Center, 8735 Jamacha Blvd, Spring Valley.
  • Price: Free.

DOCUMENTARY SCREENING OF 'THE ANATOMY OF HATE; DIALOGUE OF HOPE'

  • What's Up: Grossmont College Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee will host a screening of the documentary The Anatomy of Hate; A Dialogue to Hope. Director Michael Ramsdell will have a Q&A session and discuss his 90 minute fill focusing on white supremacists, Palestinian militants and U.S. troops in the Middle East. 
  • When: 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 13. 
  • Where: Grossmont College Room 220, 8800 Grossmont College Dr, El Cajon.

EAST COUNTY EARTH DAY

  • What's Up: Bring the entire family to Mt. Helix to celebrate East County Earth Day. The Jarrett Meeker Foundation and Mt. Helix Park will host East County Earth Day. The event will include music, food, eco-friendly vendors and speakers. 
  • When: 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 13. 
  • Where: Mt. Helix Nature Park & Amphitheatre, 4905 Mount Helix Dr, La Mesa.
  • Price: Free. 

SAN DIEGO CONCERT BAND PRESENTS AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL

  • What's Up: San Diego Concert Band will present their annual spring concert. Songs include On the Trail, American Salute and Alfred Reed's El Camino Real.
  • When: 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 14. 
  • Where: Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center, 6845 University Avenue, San Diego.
  • Price: $15 General Admission; $12 Senior/Military/Student.
