Last Chance: Fishing Derby and Santee Ravens

Register by June 20, event June 23 - FREE -

Kids and teenagers, ages 3-17, can come fish at the Santee Lakes for the Firefighter's Fishing Derby.

Participants will get a free day permit for the lake, worms, a raffle ticket, a hot dog lunch and free door prizes.

Those interested in registering for the derby must do so at the link below by June 20.

June 10-15 - $24 -

Sport Clips Haircuts is conducting a week-long "Cut-A-Thon" to raise money for the Cheer organization.  The Cheer Team has fliers to distribute that will earn them a percentage of every MVP haircut done at the Sport Clips store in Santee that week.

ARRL Kids Day is an on-air event to encourage young people (licensed or not) to have fun with Amateur Radio. It is designed to give on-the-air experience to youngsters and hopefully foster interest in getting a license of their own. It is also intended to give older hams a chance to share their station and love for Amateur Radio with their children. Register before the event.

June 21 - Cost Varies -

Last chance to sign the kids up for Santee Ravens Youth Football and Cheerleading, which is now affiliated with San Diego Pop Warner.
