Local Families Deliver Random Act Of Holiday Kindness To Santee Sheriff's Station

Two Lakeside families came to the Santee Sheriffs Station Thursday bearing trays of cookies as part of a month of random acts of holiday inspired kindness.

Three parents with five giddy kids, excited to be at the Sheriff's Station, some in fearsome awe of the officers, strolled right in and let the person behind the desk know they were there as part of 30 days of random acts of kindness that the families are engaged in. Previous acts of kindness included dropping coins in Salvation Army collection tins around East County and handing out candy canes to people viewing Santee's Starlight Circle area of residential Christmas lights.

The bit of random holiday cheer brought office workers and officers into the lobby for an short and impromptu holiday party atmosphere with the kids working on Sheriff's coloring books.
