Photos: Healthy Kids Day at Cameron Family YMCA
Santee Firefighters held April Pools Day and the YMCA front lawn was filled with booths and fun activities for the family.
Cameron Family YMCA in Santee held Healthy Kids Day on Saturday, a national initiative of the Y to improve the health and well-being of kids, and the Santee Fire Department held their annual drowning prevention event, April Pools Day, at the Santee Aquatic Center.
The annual events fell on the same day as SanTree Fest, making the Town Center Park area of town a hotbed of activity on Saturday.
YMCA holds the event because the organization is "committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the Y holds Healthy Kids Day to teach healthy habits and inspire a lifetime love of physical activity through active play."
