Photos: Woodglen Vista Dog Park Opening

The dogs and dog lovers were out in full force on Saturday at the grand opening party for the newest fenced off-leash dog area in Santee.

Mayor and Councilman helped dedicate the new fenced off-leash area at , which opened to the public early this summer.

The was put on by dog owners that frequent the park that have formed a Facebook group, with help from the City of Santee. Barbecues were going full steam and and raffle prizes were sponsored by the local dog owners.

Booths were set up for , Canine Companions for Independence, and County of San Diego Dept. of Animal Services.

The dog park is open daily from dusk to dawn.

  • Dogs must be licensed and have up-to-date vaccinations
  • Owner must clean up after pet (bags are provided)
  • Dogs must be prevented from biting or harassing any person or another animal
