Who Will Be the Next Miss Santee? See the Contestants

The joint 2012 will be held this Friday at - it's always a fabulous show open to the public where young women earn the opportunity of a lifetime to be the official hostess for their city.

The photos above, taken at one of the recent orientation meetings where the girls learn how to be pageant contestants, gives a sneak peak of who will be strutting their stuff at the pageant. This year, there are six Miss Santee contestants and ten Miss Teen Santee contestants.

The contestants will be scored on personal interview, speech, poise and personality, sportswear, evening gown and an on stage question. Pageant photographers will present the Miss Photogenic award, contestant will vote for the Miss Congeniality award and there will also be an essay writing contest.  

Winners will receive the once in a lifetime opportunity to serve as their cities official hostess and spend the year attending grand openings, parades, summer concerts and chamber functions.

Miss La Mesa and Miss Santee 2012 will each receive a $1,000 scholarship while Miss La Mesa Teen and Miss Santee Teen 2012 will each receive a $500 scholarship. There will also be $1,000 dedicated for essay awards winners thanks to donations from Mary England and .
