Video Tour of the New Cabins at the Santee Lakes

Set to open April 1, check out the amenities at the ten new cabins on the lake.

Ten at the are set to open to the public April 1, and Santee Patch got a preview of them. See the video above for a video tour.

Seven of the cabins are right on the water’s edge at Lake 7 and three are actually floating on the lake. All units have full utilities including "AC & heat, TV, and WiFi.  They come furnished and include a restroom with shower, kitchenette, master bedroom, living room, porch, barbeque and fire ring."

The waterfront cabins sleep six and the floating cabins sleep four, with prices ranging from $100 to $145 a night; one cabin provides disabled access.You can fish from the shore in front of the cabin, or the deck of your cabin, if you're floating.

The , which runs the Santee Lakes park, is keen to point out that taxes and water payments had nothing to do with paying for these new cabins, the park sustains itself.

Weekend reservations have filled up quickly, booked until August, and weekday reservations are also becoming slim.

The final touches were being put on the cabins during the tour- they are brand-spanking-new. Don't worry though, some VIPs will be breaking them in this weekend, before the .
