Photos: Wood 'n Lips Open Mic Festival at Trolley Amphitheater

Tim Woods, Wood 'n Lips organizer, hopes it's the first annual festival.

Santee’s Trolley Amphitheater was chock full of local music action on Saturday. It was the ten-year-anniversary celebration of the Wood ‘n Lips Open Mic. The music fun went from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Open Mic Festival featured long-time regulars of Wood ‘n Lips such as , Suzy Reed, , the , Greg Allsup and the singing duet Peter Varhola and Marquita Lawson.

"I’ve had so many people ask me if today was the first Annual and I’m hoping that it is,” said Tim Woods, one of the lead organizers for Wood ‘n Lips.

Woods publicly thanked all the musicians and supporters of Wood ‘n Lips, including Greg Gross, who sets up the sound system in Santee from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Sign-ups to perform begin at 5: 30 p.m.
