Best Beer Apps to Buzz through San Diego Beer Week, Nov. 1 - 10

More than 25,000 local craft beer connoisseurs and brewers are gearing up for November’s San Diego Beer Week, from Nov. 1 through Nov. 10.

As a cheers to the upcoming festivities, AT&T has prepared a list of apps to quench the thirst of draft aficionados for the 10-day festival, which showcases San Diego’s growing footprint in the craft beer community.

The seven must-have apps below can help with tips on beer and food pairings, malty vs. hoppy flavor profiles, and locating one of 500 participating venues (or a ride home).

Keep a schedule of your favorite local breweries and must-see events surrounding the San Diego by importing the SDBW calendar to your phone. You’ll know when and where to be during this beer festivity, never missing a beat. Free to import.

After the daily festivities come to a close, check out local craft beer bars with your fellow connoisseurs with TapHunter, founded by a local San Diegan. Find out what’s on tap at the best local brewpubs, beer bars and all other locations where great craft brew is served. 3)      BeerCloud

Whether you're a beer consumer who could use some guidance in making a well-educated purchase, a food lover looking to discover new ways to enhance a meal with a complementary beer pairing, a beer student hoping to learn more about styles, or a traveling beer enthusiast who wants to instantly map the closest stores, bars, and restaurants carrying one of your favorite beers, BeerCloud is an essential iPhone app. Free to install.

4)      iBrewMaster

 Bring the education home after each fascinating day at SDBW by beginning to brew your own beers. iBrewMaster is a full functioned application for home brewers to manage the entire brewing process. Not only can you add, edit and manage your own recipes, iBrewMaster comes complete with 50 pre-installed recipes, plus an additional 210 Northern Brewer recipes, as well as hundreds of grains, hops and yeasts from around the world. Free to install.   

5)      BeerUniverse

The Beer Universe app has a huge database of beer profiles for you to explore, rate, and review on the go. The app also makes recommendations for you based on your preferences and can even predict how you would rate beers, taking the guesswork out of trying new beers. The app's beer list syncs with the Beer Universe website (www.beer-universe.com) keeping it up to date with the ever-growing database of beers. $0.99 to install.  

6)     AT&T  DriveMode

Get to SDBW safely by resisting the urge to text and drive by downloading AT&T’s DriveMode today. The app, now with auto on/off, helps increase safety on the road.
