Father of Missing Teen: 'Damage is Done ... Let My Daughter Go'

"Hannah we all love you very much. If you have a chance, you run and you'll be found," Brett Anderson said.

The father of Ethan and Hannah Anderson spoke out Tuesday calling for his daughter to seize any chance to escape from his old friend – and now her abductor – Jim DiMaggio.

"Hannah we all love you very much. If you have a chance, you run and you'll be found," Brett Anderson said.

Appearing at a news conference at the San Diego Sheriffs Department's Kearny Mesa headquarters, Anderson also addressed DiMaggio directly.

"Jim, I can't fathom what you were thinking but the damage is done ... Let my daughter go. You've taken everything else."

Anderson did not refer to his missing son, lending credence to other loved ones' statements that the boy is believed dead.

Anderson flew in from Tennessee to be with his family and made only a five-sentence statement before leaving the news conference.

Authorities are waiting for autopsy results before drawing any conclusions about the boy, they said.

Brett Anderson's ex-wife Christina Anderson was found dead Sunday and her two children have been the subject of a nationwide search.

Relatives, however, via interviews and Facebook, have said Ethan's body was found along with his mother's and that their energies are focused on finding Hannah.

A vigil is set for 7 pm at El Capitan High School.
