The Enduring Appeal Of Santee

Santee sees 20 percent construction uptick- and we break down why.

Is it the weather?  Perhaps the country charm? Or is it the warm, welcoming residents that make Santee such an attrative place to live and work?  We choose "All Of The Above."

Simply put; people want to live in Santee.  As a result, the Ciity continues to enjoy smart, development designed to meet those needs.

Construction and building permit activity saw a 20 percent increase for the week of October 31 through November 4.  Total permit activity jumped from 24 to 29 for the week.

We're pretty sure that Santee's growth is top-driven. We're familiar with how Mayor Randy Voepel and the City Council helps of this fair city. Construction and development activity tends to support our observations.

Fully 10 percent of new solar energy projects in San Diego County are being built in Santee this week.  Six percent of the 87 in the county were slated for Santee.  

SSFT Construction/McMillin Realty is about to build six new homes on  Mission Villas Court.  These are detached condominiums in the 1,800-square foot-range with 400+ square foot garages.  Based on what we know of current and past McMillin projects, these are sure to be fine homes.

These consistent building permit numbers reflect a solid climate of welcome in Santee.  

On the green-construction front, Santee saw six new solar energy starts this week.  Owners at:  11340 Canyon Park Drive, 11040 Crystal Springs Road, 9961 Los Ranchitos Road, 9850 Settle Court, 8501 Mesa Road, and 10114 Lauren Way all took the photovoltaic leap this week.
