Construction Begins at Phil's BBQ in Santee

A fence and coming soon signs surround the site of the much anticipated restaurant at Trolley Square.

Though confirmation that the much-anticipated would open in Santee came earlier this spring—no more holding your breath—you can see the signs of change yourself.

The old Roadhouse Grill site is being transformed to meet the needs of a BBQ joint that will surely be seeing lines out the door. Contractors are on site and construction is underway.

There is no indication of an opening date, though earlier estimations were set on late summer.
