About ten months after new operators took over, the Coffeehouse is on Nov. 19.

The closing comes almost three years after the coffee shop, a hub of local entertainment and activity in , was originally opened by Pat and Gary Craft.

There is no indication of what may fill that storefront, but during the last transition there was talk that coffee and small food sales couldn't keep up with the rent costs of such a large shop.

Cowles Rescue

A woman hiker with a broken ankle was hoisted from Cowles Mountain Wednesday night, a San Diego Fire Department dispatcher said.   

Firefighters were sent to the location at 8:37 p.m., the dispatcher said. It was decided to use a helicopter to bring her out.
