Photos: East County Spring Home Show and Carnival for the Kids
Get info on remodeling your home, adding solar, grab some BBQ and let the kids go wild on some rides.
The first East County Spring Home Show is at Santee's Town Center Park for a weekend of remodeling, landscaping, flooring, plumbing, solar, BBQ, carvival rides, food trucks, networking and music.
The event continues Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m until the music stops around 9 p.m. at the eastern end of Town Center Park at the stage area where the Summer Concerts are held (550 Park Center Dr).
I stopped by the event mid-afternoon Friday, before the crowds started rolling in, and snapped some photos of the booths, rides, food options and more (see gallery).

The Santee Chamber of Commerce is holding a Casino Night Mixer at the Home Show Saturday, April 6, at 5 p.m. Entry is $10 and includes one alcoholic beverage from Manzanita Brewing Company.
Saturday and Sunday from 1-4 p.m. the People's Choice BBQ competition is scheduled, with free samples from the like of Randy Jones All American Sports Grill and Hunter Steakhouse.

The American Concert Series will take place each day from1-9 p.m. featuring bands like The Jerry "Hot Rod" DeMink Band, Psychothermia, Peter Prado and more.
