"We are excited to help keep this community active and healthy!"

is a new physical therapy clinic at the east end of Mission Gorge Road that specializes in educating clients about their health- not simply making the patient feel better.

Situated next to and , the corner has turned into Santee's own health centered strip-mall.

Clinic director, Heather Nass, DPT, received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2004 from the University of Southern California. She said her clinic has a strong emphasis on patient education, allowing patients to really understand their injury and achieve long lasting results.

The smiling face greeting you at the door is patient service manager, and long-time Santee resident, Reem Ghandour.

Physiotherapy Associates is holding an If you have any aches and pains you might want to relieve, come down to get a voucher for a complimentary musculoskeletal screening- it may just do the trick in finding the source of those aches.

Santee Patch asked Heather five questions about the clinic:

1. For what reasons would someone come to Physiotherapy Associates?

treats patients for a wide variety of reasons including sports injuries, pre and post-operative care, generalized arthritis pain and stiffness, soft tissue injuries, headaches, chronic pain/fibromyalgia and work related injuries.

2.  What services do you specialize in?

Physiotherapy Associates provides evaluation and treatment of physical disabilities and designs treatment plans to improve physical strength, range of motion and functional ability. From the initial evaluation through recovery, each patient works with a licensed physical therapist who will help to restore daily comfort and function and individualized goals.

The therapist will review the patient’s past history and the physician’s referral, perform a comprehensive evaluation and develop an individualized treatment program.

3. Why come to Physiotherapy Associates rather than another similar clinic?

Each patient will work with a dedicated physical therapist who will emphasize one-on-one treatment.  We believe strongly in hands-on treatment, patient education and empowering each patient to be an active participant in designing their rehab goals and treatment progression.  Physical Therapists with Physiotherapy Associates are highly dedicated to staying up to date with current treatment techniques and research by taking regular courses and participating in clinical in services.

4. What do you think about the ?

Santee has been a wonderful location for our new clinic. Our patient services manager, Reem Ghandour, has been a part of this community for more than 20 years, and we are excited to help keep this community active and healthy!

5. Can you give some details about the coming up?

We welcome you to   We will answer any questions that you have regarding physical therapy.

All attendees will receive a voucher for a complimentary musculoskeletal screen.  This screening will be performed by appointment.  During your screening, the physical therapist will perform a brief evaluation of strength, range of motion and functional movement patterns that may be leading to pain or dysfunction.

Can't send messages to Dad because he's now deceased, but my dad was very wise...He'd say thingsRead More like: "You can get arrested for what you say, but not what you think!" - or - "Take care of your feet, and they'll take care of you!" My dad wasn't much for words, but he was always a stable figure growing up and was loyal to mom throughout the years. Nowadays, that in and of itself is honorable! Thank you Dad! In Loving Memory...
