Photos: Santee In-N-Out Burger Grand Opening November 28

Head to the crossed palm trees on Mission Gorge Road for your first double-double in Santee.

The new In-N-Out Burger on Mission Gorge Road in the heart of Santee opened its doors to the public at 9 a.m. on Wednesday.

A group of teens that had been waiting at the doors of the new fast food outlet since 10 p.m. the night before were the first customers to eat there, shortly followed by members of the Santee Chamber of Commerce and other hungry locals.

In-N-Out has been around since 1948, and has kept the menu simple since then- hamburgers, fries and shakes. They focus on quality and freshness, you can see right into the open kitchen and watch as potatoes turn to fries before your eyes.
