East County Live Well Expo: Free Fun and Fitness Friday and Saturday

The East County Live Well Expo  and Community Safety Fair is a two-day event celebrating healthy living for all lifestyles taking place Oct. 18-19 at Sonrise Community Church in Santee.

Door prizes, local VIPs, fitness demos, bike rodeo, Food U, fun family activities, FREE to the public!

Day one is Friday from 3-8pm: It will include an opening ceremony featuring the inspirational story of Chappie Hunter, a local police officer who lost his leg in an accident and continues to work out. Susan Taylor, one-time NBC anchorwoman will give a great presentation on cutting edge healthcare at Scripps Health.

Day two will feature a Community Safety Fair put on by the Santee Fire Department with tours of emergency vehicles and kids activities, a huge Zumba class by Crunch Fitness, Food U with healthy cooking demos and snack tasting, bicycle rodeo, dance and martial arts performances, therapeutic laughing class, fitness events and more.

The expo is presented by the California Health Network, Meals 4 Hunger and the Santee Fire Department.
