Sheriff's Dept. to Host Bicycle Rodeo at East County Live Well Expo

A fun event for kids- they'll learn about bicycle safety and the rules of the road.

The Santee Sheriff's Station is hosting a Bike Rodeo for kids who live in Santee, Lakeside and unincorporated El Cajon.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 19
9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Sonrise Community Church
8805 N. Magnolia Avenue, Santee

A quick lesson on the rules of the road is followed by a ride on a miniature "chalk street" course where children are shown where and how to apply the rules. Deputies will escort the kids through the course to point out hazards and give safety tips.

FREE basic bicycle tune up.
Kids Raffle at 10:45 a.m.

All children must have parents sign waiver forms.
Don't forget your bicycles and helmets.

Space is limited. RSVP to Santee Sheriff's Station Crime Prevention Specialist Nancy Ortiz at (619) 956-4022.

This is just one event happening at the East County Live Well Expo on October 18. Hope to see you there!
