About 500 people turned out for the sixth annual , Santee's Earth Day celebration, on Saturday morning.

As a Tree City USA, Santee gets together the community every year to beautify an area by adding trees and shrubbery. This year's spot was the newly finished .

In addition to the planting, there were environmental booths set up for volunteers to get some green knowledge and goodies.
