Extra Trolleys to Deploy for Seau Memorial at Qualcomm Friday

MTS says its trains will have more cars, because of the large crowd that is expected.

Extra will be put into service on the Green Line to accommodate fans who want to pay their respects to the late Chargers linebacker Junior Seau at Friday's memorial, the Metropolitan Transit System announced Tuesday.

The added trains will leave the Old Town Transit Center for Qualcomm Stadium beginning at 3:45 p.m., and depart the 70th Street Station starting at 4:30 p.m., according to the MTS.

Friday's public memorial service begins at 6:30 p.m. and will include special guests who will share stories about the impact the Oceanside native had on them and others, according to the Chargers.

Private services will also be held at Calvary Chapel in Oceanside.
