Wet, Gloomy Weather Forecast

Friday night was the beginning of nearly a week of gloom.

Gloomy, wet weather moved in Friday night and is expected to stick around until at least Monday, and likely until Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Light rain will fall periodically through Saturday, when a second, and more powerful wave of rainfall should come through on Sunday, and dissipate Monday.

''We're a little bit removed from that big plume of rain and moisture that will likely bring flooding to other parts of Southern California,'' said meteorologist Ted Mackechnie of the National Weather Service. ''But by Tuesday and Wednesday we will see heavier amounts of rainfall coming into San Diego County.''
