Big Brothers Big Sisters Volunteer Enrollment Training

Start Something!

The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better. Big Brothers/Big Sisters and Little Brothers/Sisters meet 2 to 4 times a month, spending time together, doing things they both enjoy.

BBBS is experiencing a critical need for men to volunteer! More than 70% of children waiting for mentors are boys, but less than 4 out of every 10 new volunteers are men. Here in San Diego, young boys wait an average of 18 months before being matched with a Big Brother. That's too long!

The basic requirements to volunteer are you must be:
o At least 18 years of age
o Have a valid Social Security number
o Have no criminal background
o Be available to volunteer at least 4 hours a month for at least 1 year

*Men, and Spanish-speaking women and men are in high demand.*

Come check out a Volunteer Enrollment Training Orientation to find out more on how you can get started in making a difference! See below for upcoming days and times, or visit our website atwww.SDBigs.org for more info.
