Easter Feast for Our City's Homeless

Over 1,000 of San Diego's homeless men, women and children will gather at the San Diego Rescue Mission for an Easter Feast from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2012.  Nearly 200 volunteers will serve these individuals hot ham dinners and offer personal necessities like t-shirts, socks, towels, shampoo, soap and lotion. These individuals and families living on the streets will also be given information on the Rescue Mission's life-changing programs.  It is an opportunity for our homeless friends to come and enjoy some music and be served a sumptuous meal in a family style environment.

The San Diego Rescue Mission's Annual Easter Feast served an estimated 1,000 hot ham dinners to San Diego's homeless last year. With an increased number of homeless on the street this year, the Rescue Mission expects to serve more meals than it served in 2011.
