Santaluz Club Presents its Inaugural Tee It Up For The Troops Monday, August 6, 2012

Proceeds from the event will directly benefit military personnel and their families.  Tee It Up For The Troops is non-profit  501(c)(3) organization established in 2005 to assist military personnel, including those returning from foreign deployments.  For more detailed information on the San Diego Tee It Up For the Troops tournament, please visit www.sandiegoteeitup.org.

“The proceeds from our event will benefit a number of local charities and organizations,” said Jim Hollingshead, spokesperson for the event.  Hollingshead, Chief Strategy Officer at ResMed, named Fisher House, Standing Tall Together, Freedom Station, and Wounded Warriors Battalion at Balboa Naval Hospital as examples of charities that provide direct support to San Diego military and their families.

Opening ceremonies - 10:45 a.m.

Shotgun, no handicap scramble - 11:45 a.m.

Cocktail reception - 4:30 p.m.

Dinner/awards ceremony - 5:30 p.m.

Featured speaker: Hugh Hewitt, 7:00 p.m.

Santaluz Club is a private membership club that will open its spectacular facilities and clubhouse to the Tee It Up For The Troops/San Diego event, including outstanding food and drink during the tournament, and gourmet dining for the post-tournament dinner and auction. In addition to the 18 hole golf course, Santaluz Club will also make available its unparalleled spa facilities for the day for those interested in getting a facial or a massage in lieu of playing golf.
