Help a Local Family Fight Genetic Chronic Tooth Decay

"My name is Stephanie Moeller, and I have a genetic condition called 'dentinogenesis imperfecta' where my teeth constantly crumble, break, decay, and ache, due to the lack of enamel."

A Santee family has started a GoFundMe campaign to help cover costs of nearly constant dental work many of them need done because of chronic tooth decay due to a genetic condition.

Five members of the Moeller family have a genetic condition called "dentinogenesis imperfecta," which is described to cause teeth to constantly crumble, break, decay, and ache, due to the lack of enamel.

Stephanie Moeller, who also has chronic pain due to her condition, explained how community support would help:

"Four out of nine of my other family members are experiencing this genetic condition as well, and we will all eventually need every single tooth repaired with a crown. They don't all have the chronic pain like I do, but their teeth are certainly falling apart like mine are. Our insurance will not cover all of this, and I currently cannot get any of my teeth fixed until the end of this year. If you would be so kind as to help us, please do! Any amount given to help solve this problem will help immensely. Thank you!"

So far $2,325 has been raised by 18 people in 8 days.
