Support the Stevie Eastman Memorial Fund, Help Spread Ashes at Cowboy Stadium

The family of a man run over and killed by a cement truck in Santee is raising funds for his memorial.

The family of a man struck and killed by a truck while crossing an intersection in Santee is raising funds for his memorial service with an online donation campaign.

Stevie Eastman was walking across a crosswalk at the corner of Mission Gorge Road at Cottonwood Avenue on a green light when he was hit. The family told 10News they're outraged that no charges have been filed in the incident. Sheriff's Department said they are doing a longterm investigation and have two senior detectives on the case

Eastman was on his lunch break from his workplace, Scantibodies, a medical laboratory in Santee. He was a resident of El Cajon. His family said he always had a smile on his face and liked to play sports.

His mother posted this to the donation page on Go Fund Me.com:

"Stevie Eastman was a beautiful soul that touched many lives ...over 100 of his friends came to hospital room and stayed with us .i could go on and on but please go his Facebook page I started to see the kind of man he was ..our lives will never be the same ..We have started the Stevie Eastman memorial fund to help us give him the most beautiful memorial we can .. We are inviting all who want to come ..he was a vey special man..we have plans with any extra money to take our entire family to the Dallas cowboy stadium to spread of bit of his ashes on the field as he was a cowboy fan like no one else ..from the age of 8 on up to 24 ..the day he was taken from us..."
