Beloved Santee Resident Tomas Vargas Dies at 83
Tomas was succesful in life, beginning as a poor child in Mexico and building a new life for his family in the U.S.
Longtime Santee resident Tomas Vargas passed away December 15 at age 83 and the of the Santee City Council was adjourned in his honor.
Vargas and his family were residents of Santee since 1972 and loyal member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church.

Tomas Vargas was born on March 7, 1929 in Capilla de Guadalupe, Jalisco, Mexico to Candelario and Maria de Jesus Vargas. After an extraordinarily fruitful life, Tomas died at his home on Dec. 15, 2012 in Santee, CA in the midst of his wife of 55 years, Celina S. Vargas, and many of his ten children...
