Art of Skin MD Now Offers New Fractional Non-Ablative Laser Module, the ResurFX

Art of Skin MD has joined an elite group of physicians nationwide to introduce the ResurFXTM, a new fractional non-ablative laser module that successfully treats a broad range of skin conditions.  Melanie Palm, M.D., founding director of Art of Skin MD and board-certified dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon, noted that the ResurFX is a versatile, breakthrough laser that can soften fine wrinkles, acne, scars, stretch marks and improve overall skin tone.

“The ResurFX can be combined with M22 Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) photo rejuvenation in the same session or used alone,” said Dr. Palm. “I term the combined photo fractional treatment as the Special FX laser peel. Many patients see results after only one session. However, the maximum benefit is seen with a series of 3 to 5 treatments. The best part--there is minimal downtime. The entire procedure takes less than 30 minutes. In addition, we can treat vascular or pigment conditions and immediately help rejuvenate skin with the same advanced platform.”

The M22, noted Dr. Palm, is the only multi-application platform that combines three gold-standard technologies covering more than 40 indications in one system: Intense Pulsed Light with Optimal Pulse Technology™, Multi-spot Nd:YAG and now the ResurFX for a complete aesthetic workstation. ResurFX extends the already proven M22 capabilities and provides physicians with the only CoolScan™ scanner.  This technology means the energy pattern is evenly and accurately distributed over your skin to ensure no area is overheated or damaged.  The ResurFX is also equipped with continuous contact cooling to increase patient comfort.

The M22 ResurFX module enables facial skin resurfacing, one of the fastest growing minimally invasive procedures in recent years. Fractional skin resurfacing is also an effective way to treat striae, commonly known as stretch marks. Over 60% of women have stretch marks which appear often as result of pregnancy, weight gain and puberty.

“I have many patients that seek skin resurfacing solutions but are uncomfortable with the downtime of ablative CO2 treatments,” said Dr. Palm. “With the new ResurFX module I can now offer them an effective fractional non-ablative treatment with minimal downtime. The ResurFX module offers true freedom and flexibility as it is the only one that simultaneously allows choosing the density, energy, dimensions and the shape of the scan.”
