A 21-year-old graduate of El Capitan High School who had just recently left Santee was killed with two others in a car crash in Yuba County on Sunday, according to a report by UT San Diego.
Taylor Ellis is survived by relatives in the Santee-Lakeside area. He had moved to Dobbins, CA, in Yuba County about six months ago, according to family.
The rollover accident happened at 2:15 a.m. when the driver lost control of the car, hit a tree and rolled, according to California Highway Patrol. The driver and two passengers were ejected and killed, and one passenger, who was wearing a seatbelt, survived with injuries.
Alcohol "appears to be a factor," though the cause of the crash is under investigation, according to UT San Diego.
