3 DUIs and 3 Other Arrests at Weekend Checkpoint in Santee
1,053 vehicles passed through the checkpoint Friday night.
Sheriff's deputies made three DUI arrests and three other arrests at a DUI Sobriety/Driver's License checkpoint in Santee Friday evening, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
The checkpoint was conducted in the 8800 block of Mission Gorge Road from 8 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. A total of 1,053 vehicles passed through the checkpoint.
An additional 11 citations were issued to drivers and six card impounded.
Funding for the grant was provided by the California Office of Traffic Safety.
