4 Arrested on Drunken Driving Charges at Santee DUI Checkpoint
More than 1,000 vehicles were stopped for various checks Friday night and Saturday morning.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested four suspected drunken drivers at a Santee DUI checkpoint ending early Saturday, authorities said.
They also issued seven citations to unlicensed drivers or those with a suspended license.
More than 1,000 vehicles passed through the
checkpoint, according to Lt. Tom Albergo of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
