Controlled Burns at Miramar Base Friday and Saturday

You may see smoke from the north, don't be alarmed.

Controlled burns are being conducted by military fire-rescue crews at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, north of Santee, on Friday and Saturday, the smoke may be visible in town.

Don't be alarmed if you see signs of fire from that area on Friday from 6-9 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
