Deputies and firefighters responded to the crash at 10:23 p.m. and found the vehicle on its roof and a power pole that had been sheared off, according to Goldberg. Electrical wires were hanging across Prospect Avenue, which was shut down between Magnolia and Cottonwood avenues. At least one lane was re-opened later.

Deputies contacted Williams and determined that she was the driver. She appeared unhurt but deputies could smell alcohol on her breath, prompting a field sobriety test. Williams was subsequently arrested for suspicion of DUI. A breath test conducted at the scene concluded that her blood alcohol content was .14, above the .08 legal limit in California.
