Photos: 'Brush Fire' and an Accident

As I was rolling around town Thursday afternoon, going from meeting to meeting, I ran into a couple emergency situations being handled by Santee's finest, and snapped some photos.

The first, a "brush fire" reported at about 3:10 p.m., was required only one engine to respond. A bush between a residence and the sidewalk at the intersection of Olive Lane and MacCool Street ignited due to unknown reasons. The fire was quickly put out and no injuries or property damage was incurred.

The next incident was a traffic accident on Mission Gorge Road at the Carlton Hills intersection, with two cars involved. One lane of traffic was blocked by emergency personell for about 30 minutes. No injuries were reported.
