$1,000 Reward Offered for Suspects in Burglary and Fraud Spree

Two suspects were caught on surveillance cameras after allegedly stealing a purse and using credit cards around town.   

The Sheriff’s Department and Crime Stoppers are asking for assistance from the public to help identify and locate two unknown suspects wanted for using stolen credit cards at stores around the county, including the Santee Walmart.  

According to detectives, a purse was stolen from a car in Rancho Santa Fe on August 6 and the credit cards in the purse were used over the next few days at the Walmarts at Grossmont Center, Santee and Murphy Canyon Road in San Diego, and USA Gas.

The suspects were seen driving a small grey compact car at one of the locations, according to detectives. Surveillance cameras captured several pictures of the suspects, which are attached to this page.

One suspect was described as a white female between 20‐25 years old, thin, wearing a black tanktop and tan shorts. The other suspect was described as a white male between 20‐25 years old, wearing a black t‐shirt and black or gray shorts.

Anyone with information on the identity and/or location of the suspect should call the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580‐8477. Crime Stoppers is offering upto a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in this case.
