House Fire Near Santana Quickly Knocked Down in Early Morning Hours

No injuries and a salvageable structure remains due to quick action by firefighters.

Firefighters quickly knocked down a house fire in Santee early Friday morning.

The fire in the 10,000 block of Santana Street was reported at 3:55 a.m., according to a Heartland fire dispatcher. It apparently started in a garage area.

No one was transported to the hospital, she said.
