Lakeside Man Identified in Fatal Motorcycle Accident on SR-52 in Santee
Apparently rear-ended by a sedan, the name of the local man that died after being thrown from his motorcycle has been released.
The name of a Lakeside man who died after he was rear-ended and fatally thrown from his three-wheel motorcycle on SR-52 in Santee has been released.
Gary Leroy York, 68, was hit by a sedan at about 8:40 a.m. Wednesday morning while headed westbound on the highway past Santee, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.
Paramedics responded and he was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital. He died hours after the accident at 2:57 p.m., according to authorities.
