A man admitted last week that he stole a car from after .
East County resident Kirell Rybarev pleaded guilty to felony carjacking and felony battery on a peace officer. He was sentenced to 5 years and 8 months in state prison at the El Cajon Courthouse.
Rybarev was arrested on Jan. 10 outside of a friend's home on Molino Street in Santee. It took five deputies and a taser to subdue and arrest him. The stolen car was found outside of the friend's house where he was arrested.
The Deputy District Attorney in the case credited the Detectives for "expeditiously and efficiently gathering the evidence and arresting an extremely dangerous person."
